Artist statement
Her art is driven by continuous renewal, the harmony of emotions and materials, and the desire to shape inner energies into a unique form. She unfolds the emotions and movements carried from her background as a dancer onto the canvas. Often working by hand, without a brush, she allows the direct presence of her body to become part of the creation. Her works explore the relationship between movement, emotion, and material.

Imola Tokes -Timolart is a Hungarian-born contemporary visual artist based in the Netherlands. Her work explores the relationship between movement, emotion, and material through textured 3D compositions and abstract paintings. Her background in dance and performance plays a defining role in shaping her visual language.
