Tree of Souls
This work was inspired by the idea of reincarnation. Created in 2017 for my first exhibition, it carries within it the importance of roots, traditions, and honoring our ancestors.
Over nine years, this painting has lived through much alongside me. In recent years, however, every time I looked at it, I felt that we had both changed. It — in both meaning and color — has faded; while I felt my longing for freedom growing stronger than ever before. I searched for where and how I could reconcile my former and present self. In the spring of 2026, we shaped each other for days, until the Tree of Souls finally took root in the sunset — within the thousand-faced dance of clouds and light.

It began as a mere projection of a feeling, and then, years later, I noticed a legible fragment of text in its mouth:
"...egy jellegzetes... arckifejezés... érzés is...." (HU)
"...a distinct... facial expression... a feeling as well..." I felt that was when the work was truly complete.
